It’s made of kapur wood, a dense and highly durable hardwood from Southeast Asia (primarily Indonesia and Malaysia). The kapur has a fine-sanded, oil-stained finish in a warm, mahogany brown tone. Rivaling teak for strength and resistance to weather and insects, it’s ideal for outdoor use. Left untreated, kapur will weather to a soft, warm shade of gray similar to that of weathered teak.
The ottoman features blocky, square chair footings and a wide, slatted construction. At 13 inches high, it’s just the right height for using as a side table. Add the cushion, and it adds extra length to the collection’s corner or center chairs for stretching out your legs. The ottoman measures 27-1/2 inches square.
