We bought this crib for our son on around his first birthday (when we had another little on on the way.) It is great! It is a little darker than the photo shows…a rich meduim brown stain. The front is very high, though the sides are not so high. We haven’t had any problems, but if your child wants to climb out when he/she is 2, he/she probably could. It is fairly sturdy, the rails aren’t as strong as our other crib. My son is just transitioning into the toddler bed and it only took me 5 minutes to take the front off to convert it. It was super easy! The only drawback, is that I cannot find a bed-rail to attach to it. I just started looking, but it doesn’t appear that Storkcraft has one for sale. (There are holes for a rail, I just don’t know where to buy it. It isn’t available online.) Possibly, a universal rail will work.

This crib was easy to assemble! I am 6 months pregnant and assembled the whole thing myself!!! The picture here doesn’t do it justice as it is absolutely beautiful! I purchsed the crib in white.

This crib is an excellent buy! Very sturdy, seems very well built. The only downside is the assembly- took a little longer than expected. Looks great in our baby’s nursery!
