It’s made of kapur wood, a dense and highly durable hardwood from Southeast Asia (primarily Indonesia and Malaysia). The kapur has a fine-sanded, oil-stained finish in a warm, mahogany brown tone. Rivaling teak for strength and resistance to weather and insects, it’s ideal for outdoor use. Left untreated, kapur will weather to a soft, warm shade of gray similar to that of weathered teak.
The ottoman features blocky, square chair footings and a wide, slatted construction. At 13 inches high, it’s just the right height for using as a side table. Generous enough for two to curl up on, the seat of this mocha brown sofa measures 54-by-24 inches, and features an extra-thick, four-inch cushion. The body of the chair is tightly woven of flat strips of synthetic wicker, including the right-angled arms and straight back, with a modest sheen that sheds drizzle or drips. Block-wood legs and metal reinforcement under the seat provide increased durability and strength.
Adding finesse to the look and comfort of the armchair is the natural-white seat cushion. The 100 percent cotton cover unzips in the back to remove for cleaning, while the polyurethane foam insert retains its give and shape over time. Ideal for use in outdoor furniture, cast aluminum is heavier and sturdier than standard aluminum but much lighter than cast iron. It’s also quite resistant to chipping, fading, and rusting. It’s constructed of wide, thin strips of black, powder-coated aluminum. The arms slope down and are highlighted by an artful curled end. It measures 27-1/8 inches wide by 75-1/4 inches deep by 12-5/8 inches high. This chaise has a total weight capacity of 250 pounds.
It comes with thick, comfortably filled cushions which are secured to the chair via fabric ties. They feature a durable, heavy polyester canvas cover in a natural tone. Spot cleaning with mild soap is recommended for best results.

Let me count the ways: they are elegantly styled, lightweight yet substantial, comfortable, and they look as if they cost 2-3 times the price. I purchased four chaises. They are easy to adjust and look GREAT. While it says that these have a black finish, I think that the color is more of a very dark cocoa brown. Based on other reviews, I decided to buy additional cushions (think end of season clearance at a big box store) to use for “everyday”. I’ll pull out the light cushions when we have parties. Bottom line: even with shipping, these were a great buy!

The back of the frame continues in a single piece to curve into its arms on each side. The smooth arc shape is repeated on the separately available matching coffee table and motion seat with ottoman. The Kinsley Stripe Ruby pattern on the cushions features variegated stripes in deep, earthy tones, including garnet, lime, sandstone, burnt orange, and crimson. Piping all around adds a great decorative finishing touch to the cushions. Two pillows are included to enhance the overall look and comfort of the loveseat.
